A player of Baldur’s Gate 3 was shocked to find out that a specific character appeared in a different form after playing for 1,700 hours.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is an extensive game that offers numerous paths to choose from, diverse locations to discover, and various dialogue options to pursue. Each playthrough is unique, as there is an abundance of content to explore. If you are not actively exploring and strategizing ways to access certain areas, it is easy to miss out on many opportunities.
The list of potential dangers is endless, whether it’s a concealed weapon in the Underdark or an unknown group of enemies. However, for one player, the biggest threat may come in the form of a certain NPC who can be encountered in Act 3.
According to a Reddit thread, one player shared an image of Qudenos after encountering him for the first time in 1.7k hours of playtime. However, this meeting was not in the expected dragon form that players typically encounter him with Voss in Act 1.

Instead, he revealed himself in a “humanoid”Dragonborn form, allowing players to engage in conversation with him. Many commenters were taken aback by this unexpected revelation.
One user exclaimed, “You can actually communicate with the dragon?!”
Another user expressed their surprise, exclaiming, “Wait, what? I played for 500 hours and across 3 games, but I never came across that Dragonborn?!”However, according to a different user, there is a unique dialogue that occurs if you encounter him as a Draconic Sorcerer.
Some players also noted that certain triggers must be met in order to access this scene, making it “easy to miss.”According to one user, “He can easily be missed if you don’t have Lae’zel in your party or if you choose the loyalist route.”
To have this particular interaction in the game, you must meet Voss in the sewer during Act 3. However, in order for the sewer encounter to activate, you must decline Raphael’s proposal in Sharess Caress, while still informing Voss of your desire to free Orpheus. This will cause him to appear in the sewers in the form of Qudenos.
