Baldur’s Gate 3 Players Acclaim Game’s ‘Most Satisfying’ Spell

The Baldur’s Gate 3 community is taking the time to pay tribute to the spell that feels best when used in-game.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is full of spells that players can use at any time to deal damage to enemies, reach a new location, or find a way to obtain an item they want to pick up.

Some of these spells are rather monotonous and serve just the most basic actions, but there are a few that have particularly stood out to fans.

One of these spells, Spirit Guardians, emerged as a fan favorite, not for its power, but for the satisfaction felt when using it.

Baldur’s Gate 3 fans love Spirit Guardians

The spell receives its praise on the Baldur’s Gate 3 subreddit, where one player posts: “SO MUCH. SATISFYING.”

They go on to say that while Spirit Guardians isn’t the best spell in the game, it is their favorite, going so far as to call it their “bread and butter.”

The community also shares this sentiment, with one user saying: “Spiritual Guardians is easily a Top 10 spell. In BG3 and in 5e.”

Other users take the time to mention all the situations in which the spell has been very useful for them:

“Even more satisfying is using Spirit Guardians against the rats in Elfsong’s basement. Just throw it once, stand there, and let them all kill themselves lol.”

A Baldur’s Gate 3 player says they created a build around the spell entirely for Shadowheart and kept her on their team at all times.

“I literally equip her with as many gears and movement and momentum increasing buffs as possible, then as many extra damage effects/status effects as possible on top of that, and just make her run around everywhere. She’s an army all on her own.”

People love Spirit Guardians so much that some would even argue that it is, in fact, the best spell in the game, purely due to its cost of use.
