Baldur’s Gate 3 players have praised the usefulness of Spider Egg Sacs in various battles, even in the final fight.

The final showdown in Baldur’s Gate 3 consists of a challenging gauntlet rather than a traditional fight, as players must face off against perilous tentacles, replicated allies, powerful Mind Flayer mages, and a fearsome Red Dragon.

One player wanted to remind others that they could also rely on a seemingly ordinary item in times of need – the Spider Egg Sac.

In a thread on Baldur’s Gate 3, Reddit user Everwake8 reminded players not to overlook their “one more ally”for the final battle. By utilizing the egg sac, five crag spiders can be released. Although they may not cause significant damage, they can effectively chip away at an enemy’s health and serve as useful distractions.

One individual in the conversation admitted to not realizing that egg sacs could be used as items. Another individual joked about their forgetfulness, stating that they never remembered to utilize the egg sac in any of their playthroughs.

Some other players of Baldur’s Gate 3 mentioned that Spider Egg Sacs are beneficial even before the final boss appears.

During the battle against the Phase Spider Matriarch in the Blighted Village, a user shared that the item proved particularly useful. According to them, “I utilize that egg to combat the spider lurking under the well. It just feels fitting.”

The sac was considered by another player as a valuable tool for the Hag fight in honor mode playthroughs, as the spiders’ attacks have the potential to greatly damage one of the Hag’s clones with just one hit.

Getting the sac isn’t a simple task, as it entails defeating spiders at the Rocky Crevice and completing several skill checks.
