Baldur’s Gate 3 Players Criticize Act 3 Section as Lazy and Unimmersive

Some fans of Baldur’s Gate 3 criticized a specific area in Act 3 for its “lazy”design, stating that it negatively impacted their immersion and ultimately left them underwhelmed with the game’s final challenge.

Baldur’s Gate 3 has garnered praise from both fans and critics for its elaborate worldbuilding. This role-playing game has been commended for its intricate storytelling and captivating settings, beautifully capturing the essence of Dungeons & Dragons.

Despite this, there is a general consensus that Larian Studios’ game did not quite stick the landing in its final act. Numerous players found themselves unable to complete the game due to feeling overwhelmed, while others expressed disappointment in the lackluster rewards for completing certain side quests.

Despite being one of the game’s most secure locations, The Counting House has received significant criticism from players on Reddit for its lack of immersion. They argue that the high-security building fails to live up to its reputation.

A Reddit user highlighted the irony of the Counting House in Baldur’s Gate 3 by pointing out the lack of security measures. The post brought attention to the fact that despite being a high-security bank, players are able to easily steal from every vault.

“According to the player, there is no guard on duty and the inner vault is being robbed while you enter.”

Additional players also chimed in to express their thoughts on the design. They contended that the Counting House’s inconsistencies detract from the overall design of the game and disrupt immersion.

“One player expressed disbelief, stating that the savings of all the people in Baldur’s Gate equaled 10k gold. In contrast, the vendor on the corner was selling armors for 12k gold.”

In summary, a different player expressed their criticism of Baldur’s Gate 3’s Counting House by stating, “It doesn’t make sense for the game’s economy.”

Although met with criticism, the developers of Baldur’s Gate 3 have shown an aptitude for addressing feedback and enhancing the game, even though it is meant to be a solitary experience. It is possible that this aspect of BG3 will see further enhancements in the future.

In September, Patch 7 will be released, providing new content for players who prefer an evil playthrough and allowing mod support for those who enjoy using Shadowheart’s buffs.
