Baldur’s Gate 3 players discover that it is possible to skip the Gauntlet of Shar with a magic trick and a little creativity.

Larian Studios’ Baldur’s Gate 3 was one of the most successful and beloved games of the modern era. Players fell in love with its universe, its characters and the freedom that the game granted them. This allows them to play however they want.

Baldur’s Gate 3 isn’t short either, with the story taking around 75 hours to fully complete. The game will have you exploring the Forgotten Realms, fighting enemies and romancing companions, all in RPG form.

Act 2 sees players confront the Gauntlet of Shar, a key location dear to Shadowheart. Normally, players have to go through various trials to obtain gems to progress. However, one player discovered that they could ignore this completely, using a simple spell.

Reddit user u/Loher413 discovered that instead of using the Sooty Gems on the door at the end of the Gauntlet, he could insert them all into the elevator. For some unknown reason, this consumes the gem, which could potentially lead to major problems for your party.

He was immediately confronted by the mission’s final gate during a run in Honor mode. Worried that they had blocked the game, another member of the group decided to run Unblock on it. Celle offered a quick and easy solution to an otherwise terrifying situation.

Unlock is a spell that allows you to unlock any object with a mundane lock. This was indeed the case with the Shar Gauntlet gate.

This allowed the player and their team to continue their perilous journey in Honor Mode.
