Baldur’s Gate 3 players obsessed with a new class concept

By summoning an entire litter of cats, a Baldur’s Gate 3 player has imagined a new type of class. And the community loved it.

Baldur’s Gate 3 offers a dozen different classes, ranging from Barbarian to Cleric to Wizard. A selection of subclasses also allows players to build a character to their liking.

However, not all classes have the ability to summon cats. No, this honor is only granted to a chosen few. And players don’t just keep felines for cuddles; these creatures can prove essential in times of infiltration.

So, one player conceptualized a Baldur’s Gate 3 class where furry animals reign supreme: the Nekomancer.

Cats are at the heart of this fictional Baldur’s Gate 3 classroom

The Nekomancer class in DnD revolves around cats, but no such type of class is available to Baldur’s Gate 3 players. That hasn’t stopped one user from taking matters into their own hands.

Reddit user u/Couch__Cowboy shared his Nekomancer character concept in a screenshot where his Tav is surrounded by several cats. “Seven cats at level 3. We are unstoppable,” the player captioned the following post:

The player then explained how he created his build with the following comment: “Tav summoned one, and the three companions are druids who each summoned a cat before transforming into cats themselves.”

As expected, many Baldur’s Gate 3 players like this idea of a cat-centric class. “Damn it. Now I have to create another Tav,” one user wrote in the comment.

Another responded saying, “Now we need an Artificer to build a cha-tapult.”

Another fan noted that Baldur’s Gate 3 should better inform players of all the possibilities when it comes to cats in the game. He wrote: “I don’t know why the tutorial doesn’t include a part where you learn that characters can turn into cats, summon cats, or summon cat illusions… because that’s all crucial/adorable information for a lot of players.”

Clearly, fans wouldn’t mind more cat content in their games of Baldur’s Gate 3.
