Baldur’s Gate 3 players are taking the time to recognize the game’s most fleeting companion that no one talks about.
For the most part, companions in Baldur’s Gate 3 will accompany you throughout the game’s story.
However, this is not always the case as some companions will only join you for a short time to help you in a situation. They will definitely leave once the mission is completed.
Now, the Baldur’s Gate 3 community is taking the time to pay tribute to one of these fleeting companions who is only in the game for a brief moment.
Baldur’s Gate 3 players pay tribute to Us
The Baldur’s Gate 3 prologue gives players the chance to work with Nous, a small, brain-like intellect devourer. However, once the prologue is over, Us leaves the game for quite a while.
The community took to the game’s subreddit to pay tribute to Us, seeing him as a little-talked-about companion.
The post from player u/toreachtheapex is titled “Us Appreciation Post.”Fans were therefore able to share their love for the little brain.
As one user said: “I love my brain kitten.”
Other players point out that you can completely miss Us as a companion as soon as you meet them: “It was clever of BG3 to introduce an option to mutilate him in the first minutes of the game for apparently valid reasons…”.
And the fact that Nous was another person’s brain doesn’t seem to matter: “I don’t know and I don’t care who the elf was, his brain is my child.”
Many also took the time to discuss how you can meet Us again later, but in a much worse situation.
If players choose to maim Us at the start, he will reappear later as an optional boss. However, this is far from the outcome the Baldur’s Gate 3 community wanted.
