Larian Studios amazed fans with the release of Baldur’s Gate 3 statistics, revealing a significant number of players who successfully completed Honor Mode.
In honor of Baldur’s Gate 3’s one-year anniversary, fresh data was released showcasing a remarkably well-received romance choice and an exceptionally rare conclusion involving Lae’zel.
Fans are continuing to discuss the astonishing numbers, with one player on a Reddit thread estimating the percentage of players who successfully completed Honor Mode, the most challenging difficulty setting in Baldur’s Gate 3.

After analyzing the data, the fan discovered that the survival rate for players attempting Honor Mode was a mere 11%. This means that the remaining 89% of players were unable to overcome the challenges of this difficulty level.
Among the 1,223,305 players who failed to complete Honor Mode, 76% chose to die honorably and delete their save file, while the remaining 24% switched to Custom Mode following their demise.
The person who posted on Reddit recognized the extremity of this figure by contrasting it with their success rate in obtaining the expert field medical badge while they served in the military.
According to reports, the game had an 18% pass rate, which was actually higher than the pass rate for players who completed Honor Mode. This meant that obtaining the Golden Dice, a special dice skin reserved for Honor Mode completionists, was considered to be a more challenging accomplishment.
The responses encouraged conversations about the various ways Honor Mode runs have succeeded and failed. For example, someone shared how they lost their Honor Mode playthrough in an elevator at Grymforge, while another player encountered trouble with a repulsion trap that had the potential to push them off ledges if they weren’t cautious.
Despite the failures, many replies also expressed joy for their successes. One fan even shared their experience of finding Honor Mode more liberating than other modes, stating that in previous playthroughs they were constantly frustrated with having to reload after every failed interaction.
Despite the small number of players who have successfully completed Honor Mode, it is evident from these discussions that players have differing views on its level of difficulty. However, this does not diminish the fact that only 141,660 players possess the coveted Golden Dice.
