Baldur’s Gate 3 players surprised by the centaur revelation of an iconic NPC

Baldur’s Gate 3 players discovered a little-known feature regarding one of the most notable NPCs of Act 2, although it was in plain sight.

There’s a lot going on in Act 2 of Baldur’s Gate 3. With the Shadow Curse looming and Ketheric’s plans in action, there are a lot of distractions taking you away from the real questions, like: How many feet does this character have?

We understand better why some players didn’t pay attention to Thisobald, the brewer at the small, welcoming inn next to the Highmoon Towers. With the very generous pints it serves you at will, you may not have noticed that it’s actually remarkably stable for someone that’s at least 60% alcohol.

His secret? It actually moves on four legs! It’s not much of a secret if you’re careful, but this alcohol is pretty strong, and if you want to beat Thisobald without fighting him, you probably won’t see his rear end at all.

Baldur’s Gate 3 players notice that NPC Thisobald actually has four legs

On the Baldur’s Gate 3 Reddit, player TheEmperorofWalruses posted Thisobald’s model. We see his complete centaur physiognomy.

Embarrassed that I only now realised Thisobald is a centaur byu/TheEmperorofWalruses inBaldursGate3

And to be honest, if you always talk to this guy from the front, you’re not likely to notice his extra pair of legs. Thisobald’s fleshy frame means it’s a little difficult to see what’s going on behind his back.

Some Baldur’s Gate 3 players theorized that he ended up with extra legs because of the Shadow Curse. One comment claimed: “Its lower part is that of a pig, which more closely resembles the curse transforming them into their greatest sin.”
