Baldur’s Gate 3 shows off new endings coming in Patch 7 and they may be the darkest yet

As expected, the recently released clips from Larian Studios showcase the dark and ominous new endings that will be added in Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 7.

Larian Studios, the developer of Baldur’s Gate 3, has revealed additional details about the upcoming Patch 7 and the highly-anticipated enhanced cutscenes for the evil ending.

The developers announced in a community update on Steam that they are currently working on Patch 7, which will introduce enhanced evil endings for players who enjoy a more sinister gameplay experience. This update will also cater to non-Durge players.

In addition, they provided two video clips to give players a glimpse of what they can anticipate.

The initial scene features the default Dark Urge figure, standing among a kneeling crowd and using their fingers to conjure powerful magic. This is followed by a shot of the players’ victims in evident agony.

The second image is less defined yet exudes a strong sense of mood. It captures the default Dark Urge striding against a crimson backdrop, with the sun obscured and a macabre collection of bones and body parts scattered around.

Larian also announced that their BAFTA award-winning composer, Borislav Slavov, has added his musical touch to the new ending cutscenes, which has resulted in the creation of the new song, “March Of Darkness.”A sneak peek of the song was also shared.

The recent addition of content is undoubtedly thrilling for players who relish embracing their dark side. Additionally, the fact that the endings solely revolve around the Dark Urge adds an extra level of excitement.

Larian has not provided a specific release date for Patch 7. However, they have revealed plans for a closed beta on PC to test the patch’s numerous updates, including the addition of official modding tools. They have stated that more information regarding the beta will be announced “in the upcoming weeks.”
