Baldur’s Gate 3: The Hidden Impossible Ending No One Has Seen Without Hacks

Previously, there was an ending in Baldur’s Gate 3 that was deemed ‘impossible’ until it was discovered by someone who hacked the game.

Ever since its highly successful release in 2023, Baldur’s Gate 3 has been adored by the gaming community. The game quickly gained popularity and was ultimately awarded Game of the Year at the Game Awards.

The game’s vast amount of choices, from customizing your Tav’s build to selecting party members and even deciding on romantic relationships and personal morality, has captured the adoration of players. With endless possibilities for playthroughs, it’s no wonder that players keep returning for more.

Despite this, numerous players continue to venture out in Faerun, discovering the depths of the game. One of these players is a popular YouTuber known as SlimX, who was determined to uncover an ending that could not be achieved legitimately within the game.

To commemorate the game’s first year anniversary, Larian released a variety of statistics to the player community. One interesting statistic revealed the rarest ending, which was initially only witnessed by 34 players. This ending involves Lae’zel choosing to end her journey after being denied Ascension by Vlaakith.

SlimX has demonstrated the path to achieving this uncommon conclusion, which entails remaining faithful to Vlaakith until the conclusion of the game. This involves freeing Orpheus and assuming the identity of a Mind Flayer. The next step is choosing to kill Orpheus, which enables you to request for Ascension, a request that Vlaakith ultimately ignores.

SlimX, always seeking a greater challenge, set out to find an alternative ending that had yet to be discovered. This led the YouTuber to uncover a hidden approach that exists within the game’s files and is physically impossible to unlock.

Despite the similarities, this outcome is slightly different from the previous one in which Vlaakith still rejects Lae’zel. However, unlike before, you do not decide to transform into a Mind Flayer nor do you kill Orpheus. This allows Lae’zel to retain her true form, making her ending unique despite its similarities.

Despite the desire to keep Orpheus alive, doing so would prevent the possibility of Ascending from Vlaakith. Alternatively, if Orpheus were to transform into a Mind Flayer, he would ultimately meet his own demise. As it currently stands, achieving this outcome would require some alterations to the back end.
