Throughout a playthrough of Baldur’s Gate 3, many players will likely encounter numerous secrets throughout Faerun. Interestingly, there is also a sinister secret waiting to be discovered even before starting a new game.
A player shared their interesting finding while browsing the European User License Agreement (EULA) for Baldur’s Gate 3 in a post on Reddit. The post revealed that Larian Studios prohibits players from making deals with any other creatures by agreeing to the terms and conditions.

The complete statement in the agreement reads, “By accepting this Pact, you agree to abstain from making any agreements with other creatures of Fey, Infernal, or other Eldritch origins.”
Despite its obvious intention to add a touch of humor to an otherwise dull document, it also highlights the developers’ attention to detail in every aspect of the game.
The EULA further outlines the consequences of violating this particular provision of the agreement. It states, “If, despite being warned, you succumb to the alluring tune of their malicious conditions, we retain the authority to terminate all professional or social connections with the end user and pursue appropriate measures from the Morninglord.”
It is uncertain how Larian Studios plans to identify and uphold these regulations, but it does raise some concerns for players in every playthrough. A notable instance is the agreement made with Raphael in Act 3, which likely violates this specific section of the EULA.
Despite Larian shifting their focus to other projects, there is still much in store for Baldur’s Gate 3. The upcoming Update 7, scheduled for release in September, will bring an abundance of fresh content for players to indulge in.
In addition to introducing new cinematic endings for evil playthroughs, the game is also incorporating gameplay changes, UI updates, alterations to Honour Mode, and new animations.
