Larian Studios disclosed that they created the intimate scenes between the tentacled Emperor and the characters in Baldur’s Gate 3 in an unexpected manner – with a partially consumed pack of Oreos.
Motion capture technology enables video game developers to accurately replicate real-life movement with incredible precision.
The precision of Larian Studios, the team responsible for a game where choosing to blow up a character can be considered the morally right decision, is sometimes overshadowed by their emphasis on creativity.
The model for the steamy romance scenes with the Emperor was a half-eaten pack of Oreos, which was revealed by the Baldur’s Gate 3 developer to everyone’s surprise.

The disclosure was made possible by a post from Larian Studios on X, nonchalantly introducing their distinctive approach to the online platform.
The tweet proudly featured our Senior Cinematic Artist, Elodie Ceselli, using a pack of cream-filled biscuits as a reference for the tentacle-stroking animation in the sex scene with the Emperor.
Ceselli made sure to mention that “the cream-filled biscuit gave its consent.”She went as far as to share a video showcasing the transformation “from biscuits to tentacles”on her social media.
