BanG Dream! Ave Mujica Anime Announcement: New PV Reveals January 2025 Release Date

On Thursday, October 17, 2024, the anime series BanG Dream! Ave Mujica announced its premiere date, slated for January 2, 2025, at 11 PM JST on Japanese television. The series will debut on Tokyo MX and will subsequently be broadcasted on other networks such as BS NTV, Sun TV, TV Aichi, Hokkaido TV, Shizuoka Broadcasting, Hiroshima TV, TV Setouchi, Kumamoto Asahi Broadcasting, among others.

This information was unveiled through the anime’s second teaser trailer, which began streaming on the series’ official website on Friday. Currently, there are no details regarding the international streaming availability of the second season, but updates are anticipated in the near future.

New Teaser Trailer Showcases Characters of BanG Dream! Ave Mujica

The latest trailer for BanG Dream! Ave Mujica highlights the main characters who are seen wearing intricate lace masks. Following this, the screen transitions to black and then reappears, featuring the characters in a lively rock performance at a concert. The trailer captures brief glimpses of their everyday challenges and experiences before concluding.

As previously mentioned, BanG Dream! Ave Mujica is confirmed to premiere on Thursday, January 2, 2024, on Japanese television, specifically on Tokyo MX at 11 PM JST. While the broadcasting times for the other channels have yet to be disclosed, it is indicated that the episode will air on these networks sometime during Thursday.

The official website for the anime currently does not provide streaming information for either domestic or international audiences. However, it is set for a simultaneous global launch on Sunday, December 1, 2024, during which it will be shown live in Tokyo as well as at the Anime Festival Asia in Singapore.

This upcoming anime series will continue the story from the 2023 TV anime, BanG Dream! It’s MyGo!!!!! which first aired in Japan on Tokyo MX and the streaming service ABEMA, debuting with three episodes in June 2023. The series followed a weekly release schedule, with Crunchyroll offering international streaming as the episodes were broadcast. It is expected that Crunchyroll will also provide streaming for this sequel, although confirmation is pending.

Koudai Kakimoto is back to direct the new series at SANZIGEN studios, while Yuniko Ayana will oversee and pen the scripts. The opening theme, titled “Hitoshizuku,” and the ending theme, “Shiori” (meaning “Bookmark”), will both be performed by MyGO!!!!!

Aside from the BanG Dream! Ave Mujica anime, there will also be a compilation film entitled Utau, Bokura ni Nareru Uta, translating to Sing, the Song That Can Define Us, which is scheduled for release in Japanese theaters on Friday, November 8, 2024.
