Banks discusses FaZe’s progress in repairing their relationship with NICKMERCS after reboot.

FaZe Banks has announced the status of Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff within the organization after the recent reboot and removal of certain members.

In recent years, FaZe has undergone numerous transformations. They have shifted their focus from being a sniper clan to showcasing a diverse group of content creators under their brand.

Despite opening up for investment and forming a partnership with B. Riley Principal 150 Merger Corp, the gaming organization faced challenges after being listed on the stock exchange. The original members, such as FaZe Banks, urged the leadership at the time to address the issues and return control to the content creators who played a crucial role in FaZe’s growth.

In October 2023, his wish was granted and he promptly removed certain FaZe members who had joined the group under previous leadership.

Despite having been a member of FaZe for a long time, NICKMERCS’ status was uncertain. However, Banks has now clarified certain things.

“According to the FaZe Clan CEO in his July 31 stream, NICKMERCS is still a part of FaZe and they are currently working on defining their relationship. The CEO also expressed his admiration for Nick and his family, stating that he is a great person.”

It has been mentioned that under Banks’ leadership, FaZe has released a considerable number of employees. According to Banks, at one point 110 employees were let go. Although he aimed to reduce this number to 30, his ultimate goal was to decrease the workforce to around 10 employees.

After leaving 100 Thieves, Nick became a partial owner of FaZe. However, he revealed that he was not informed about the cuts at the time. “I want to avoid any drama and unnecessary conflict,”he stated.

Despite being a popular streaming star, he has recently faced his own challenges, as he was banned from Twitch for the first time due to his use of a transphobic slur.
