Barista Shares True Story Behind Hitting Customer’s Car with Hammer

The video of a barista assaulting a customer’s car with a hammer in response to him throwing his drinks at her has gained widespread attention online.

Emma Lee, a 23-year-old barista from Seattle, Washington, has addressed the viral video by stating that the conversation needs to be altered.

The footage, which appears to be from a security camera at A Taste of Heaven Espresso drive-thru, captures the moment an angry customer hurls two full coffees at Lee through the drive-thru hatch.

Despite her assertion that she acted in self-defense, there were no legal consequences for her response to the hostile customer.

According to Lee, this occurred when a returning customer complained about being overcharged $22 for a 24-ounce and 22-ounce iced coffee, feeling that he was being taken advantage of.

The recording of the incident captures an intense dispute between the two, as the customer exits his vehicle to confront Lee.

From the CCTV footage, it is evident that the man can be heard saying to Emma, “No one will miss you.”

According to Fox News, the man had yelled and spat at the 23-year-old bikini barista, attempting to force open the window.

As the situation escalated, Emma warned the man, “If you don’t leave, I will throw this coffee at you. Do you really want me to do that?”

Afterwards, Lee pulls out a hammer and uses it to smash a hole in the customer’s windshield while leaning out of the drive-thru hatch.

After the involvement of local authorities and the police, Lee stood by her actions and argued, “Women have the right to defend themselves in situations of danger. Instead of focusing on what the victim may have done to deserve it, we should be questioning why the perpetrator thought their actions were acceptable.”

Emma explains in the news interview that she has spoken to three out of four police officers and none of them mentioned the incident where she allegedly attacked a customer’s car. Instead, they focused on finding ways to prevent the customer from returning. Emma is holding a hammer in her hand while speaking.

Despite the confusion surrounding the presence of a hammer in a coffee shop, the majority of individuals on the internet are praising the 23-year-old for her actions and asserting that she is a strong and admirable person. They believe that no service worker should ever be mistreated over a simple iced coffee.

Another food-related incident that has gained widespread attention is the disqualification of a hotdog eating champion from a competition for promoting vegan products.
