Barstool Sports’ Dave Portnoy Clashes with ‘Lunatic’ Radio Host After Employee Snub

Barstool Sports’ Dave Portnoy is urging his followers to disrupt a Chicago radio host’s life after the host snubbed one of Portnoy’s employees for addressing him by his last name.

On September 9, Barstool’s Eddie appeared on 670 The Score in Chicago, leading to a tense exchange when he referred to host Dan Bernstein simply by his last name.

“You can call me Dan or you can call me Bernsy, but you don’t know me like that,” the radio host reacted on air.

This situation ignited Portnoy’s fury as he released a video defending his employee’s treatment.

“No one ever says anything mean about Eddie. He’s such a kind person. He’s on local Chicago sports talk radio, it’s a favor to them,” Portnoy stated. “From what I’ve gathered, Dan Bernstein used to be an average guy, but now he’s just a woke lunatic.”

“This guy Bernstein has always harbored disdain for Barstool,” he continued. “He acted like Eddie insulted him by just using his last name.”

Eddie also shared his perspective, explaining he was on another show and their exchange occurred during a transition period.

“Recently, he has become quite miserable,” Eddie mentioned. “He’s had a long-standing dislike for Barstool. I was remote in a sporting goods store and couldn’t see him, so I missed any non-verbal cues that might have altered the interaction.”

Eddie explained that he didn’t intend to provoke Bernstein and is perplexed by the anger displayed by the host.

Portnoy, on the other hand, has vowed to take action, declaring Bernstein as “an enemy for life.”

“Stoolies, you have my permission to make this guy’s life hell on a professional level. Harass him during live feeds and shows, prank him, and make sure he knows it,” Portnoy urged.

As of now, Bernstein has not responded to the public outcry. However, Dave has reiterated that the harassment should remain “professional” and legal.

“To clarify, when I say harass professionally, I mean flood his phone lines and call him Bernstein whenever he’s performing live or on air.”

This isn’t the first time Dave Portnoy has found himself in a viral conflict. Notably, he engaged in a long-standing feud with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, which even resulted in him being banned from attending games.
