Matt Reeves and series showrunner Lauren LeFranc have confirmed that Batman is not part of The Penguin, and that the motorcycle serves only as a nod to Bruce Wayne’s ride.
It’s understandable why fans are eager to see Batman again. It’s been over two years since the release of Pattinson’s film, and the sequel won’t be in theaters until October 2, 2026—resulting in a lengthy four-year wait.

“The individual on the motorcycle could either be Bruce Wayne or someone else entirely,” another fan observed, alluding to the possibility of Zoë Kravitz making an appearance as Selina Kyle, a.k.a. Catwoman. This theory seems plausible, especially since Kyle previously served as a waitress at Oz’s Iceberg Lounge.
“Does anyone else believe the motorcyclist could be Selina?” one user inquired, while another added: “Honestly, when I spotted the rider, I thought Catwoman was returning to Gotham.”
Whether or not Kravitz’s Catwoman will join the narrative in the upcoming episodes remains uncertain, but it’s clear that Robert Pattinson’s Batman will not be featured in The Penguin.
