Black Myth Wukong features numerous boss fights across various chapters. While some may prove to be manageable, others can be challenging and exasperating. If you have not yet finished chapter 3, be prepared for intense battles that will test your skills. And trust me, I’m not kidding.
At the New Thunderclap Temple, the final boss of chapter 3 is Yellowbrow. This boss fight is not an easy one and requires a solid strategy and knowledge of the enemy, especially if you are attempting to defeat the fake Buddha. The battle is lengthy and challenging for players.
How to Defeat Yellowbrow in Black Myth Wukong?
To defeat the Yellowbrow boss in Black Myth Wukong, players must successfully complete all three phases. The boss’s attacks are slow, allowing players to remain in close proximity and inflict damage. In the third phase, using heavy attacks can break his golden form.
During the first and third phases, players will confront Yellowbrow directly, while in the second phase, they will face off against Macaque Chief. This encounter includes checkpoints, allowing players to continue from their previous progress after dying.
Strategy against Yellowbrow
Before engaging in the battle, make sure to unlock useful skills from the skill tree. It is also important to boost your resistance against shock, as Yellowbrow is known to use Lightning magic attacks. Do not neglect to bring along some medicinal items as well.
2.1 Phase 1 – Yellowbrow
This is your initial encounter with Yellowbrow, who is quite manageable. His attacks are slow and can be readily evaded. Furthermore, he has considerable breaks between his actions. Therefore, there is no need to hesitate in giving your all.
Utilize all of your available mana and spells, beginning with Pluck of Many and then Immobilize. Follow these with rapid combos and the transformation into the powerful Wandering Wight spirit. This combination results in tremendous damage output.
Afterward, concentrate on evading and striking whenever an opportunity arises. When his health is nearly depleted, you will be transported to a different arena.
2.2 Phase 2- Stronger Macaque Chief
Following the teleportation, you will encounter the Macaque chief. However, this boss is a heightened and more hostile variant.
Fortunately, your mother and healing charges have been completely restored, which is a positive aspect. We will employ the identical tactic during the battle against Yellowbrow Phase 1. Simply steer clear of his combos and strike when the opportunity arises.
2.3 Phase 3- Golden Yellowbrow
This iteration of Yellowbrow is significantly more formidable than the one you previously faced. With multiple powerful attacks at his disposal, defeating him will prove to be a challenging task. Furthermore, the battle is divided into three parts, each one punctuated by a cutscene.
I. Part 1: Health < 30%
- Yellowbrow’s golden form makes him invulnerable to attacks, causing your staff to bounce off him and increase his size. Combos also won’t work against him.
- To counter this, use two running heavy attacks to stagger and force him back to normal.
- If he ensnares you in an electrical circle on the ground, make sure to jump away to prevent being harmed.
II. Part 2: Health <50%
- As he charges lightning above his head, move back to the edge of the arena.
- Avoid electric projectiles being thrown at a distance.
- Land a few quick-attack combinations before the cutscene starts.
III. Part 3: Final part
- Yellowbrow will utilize advanced electrical combos that cause AoE damage.
- Make sure to avoid their attacks with precision and heal if you sustain any damage. Avoid taking multiple hits, as they can be fatal.
- Strike during his short breaks.
- Be mindful of electric lines on the floor.
3. Rewards
With the conclusion of Chapter 3, Yellowbrow’s defeat marks an end. As a reward, you will receive the following items and rewards:
- Hubris Nose Relic
- 4330 XP
- 2267 Will
- 1x Cosmo Radiance
- 1x Gold Tree Core
- 2x Refined Iron Sand
- 2x Fine Gold Thread
- 3x Cold Iron Leaves
- 1x Mind Core
