In a recent development, IVE released a behind-the-scenes video on their official YouTube channel, giving viewers a glimpse into their preparations for the Lollapalooza Chicago festival.
During a video, IVE is shown rehearsing at the Chicago Auditorium Theatre the day before their Lollapalooza show. Rei mentioned that she had recently cut her bangs to achieve a “Rei-like”look for the performance. This demonstrated her attention to detail and dedication. Prior to the rehearsal, An Yujin and Rei worked on a challenge video in the waiting room, eventually achieving a satisfactory version after multiple attempts.
IVE donned basketball team uniforms representing Chicago as their stage attire, complementing their individual accessories that showcased their unique personalities. As they prepared for their performance, the atmosphere was invigorated by stage and group photos, followed by sound checks with their opening track, “HEYA”. The group then wowed the audience with their flawless renditions of “Accendio”, “Off The Record”, “I AM”, “ELEVEN”, “Kitsch”, and “All Night”, delivering a show that could easily stand on its own.
I have diligently prepared for every aspect of the performance, including engaging with the audience. Throughout the breaks, they displayed playful behavior and participated in conversations, captivating the viewers. Following the rehearsal, they shared their excitement, exclaiming, “We just finished our final run-through before ‘Lollapalooza’. Chicago even provided us with these beautiful clothes to wear. Let’s give it our all tomorrow at ‘Lollapalooza’.”
Through persistent dedication, IVE has captivated both domestic and international media with their stunning performances and live vocals at “Lollapalooza” . In particular, Jang Wonyoung, who had received backlash for her nasal and unsteady live performance abilities in the beginning of her career, demonstrated a steady and commanding low range, sparking immense interest on online platforms and social media.
Furthermore, IVE is scheduled to carry on their inaugural world tour, titled “IVE THE 1ST WORLD TOUR ‘SHOW WHAT I HAVE’” , with upcoming performances in Jakarta on August 24th, followed by encore concerts at Tokyo Dome on September 4th and 5th. Additionally, the group’s latest mini-album, “ALIVE” , is set to be released on August 28th.
