Some fans of Below Deck Mediterranean are speculating that Chef Johnathan Shillingford from Season 9 may be replaced by a crew member from Season 7.
Despite receiving criticism for serving undercooked eggs at breakfast, Chef Johnathan Shillingford’s food on Below Deck Mediterranean Season 9 left the charter guests disappointed.
Captain Sandy Yawn saw it as a warning sign when the chef prepared the eggs before the guests woke up, and issued a warning to him after primary charter guest Gigi Fernandez voiced her complaint.
Despite making multiple mistakes on Below Deck Med, Chef Jono’s fans on Reddit are convinced that he will be replaced later in the season.
“The original poster wrote that they were placing bets on who would take over as the replacement chef on Med once this current chef is fired. They personally believe Chef Dave will be the chosen replacement.”
There was another fan who concurred and added that Chef Dave White from Season 7 of Below Deck Med would be a likely candidate, as they recall seeing him in the audience during Captain Sandy’s appearance on the June 10 episode of Watch What Happens Live.
Another individual watching on X also discovered it intriguing that Chef Dave was present in the audience on the late-night talk show and requested for Chef Jono to be replaced with him on Below Deck Med Season 9.
Chef Dave from Below Deck Med Season 7
Despite creating tension during Season 7 with his complicated past with Chief Stew Natasha Webb, Chef Dave showed his support by attending Captain Sandy’s wedding to Leah Shafer, suggesting that their friendship remains strong.
According to Captain Sandy, Chef Dave White was the ‘best chef’ she had worked with on Below Deck, and she was particularly impressed by his food while they were on the motoryacht Home together.
After being called out by the captain, viewers will have to continue watching to see if Chef Jono will take her feedback or if he will potentially be replaced by a former Below Deck Med crew member.
