Below Deck Med’s Aesha broke a trend among Chief Stews and fans are thrilled

Aesha Scott received recognition for breaking the mold on Below Deck Mediterranean Season 9 by exhibiting a unique approach to her role as Chief Stew compared to previous seasons of the franchise.

Aesha Scott returned as Chief Stew for Season 9 of Below Deck Mediterranean, leading second stew Elena Dubaich and third stew Bri Muller, who has limited experience.

Aesha had a conversation with Bri in Episode 2, during which she apologized for the challenges she faced while completing the charter guests’ laundry, which resulted in a rough day for her.

The Chief Stew granted her a pass, understanding that it was her first day on the new boat, and assured her that she would improve with each passing day.

During the meeting, Captain Sandy Yawn recognized Aesha for her leadership and kindness on the interior team.

Fans of Below Deck Med also observed her gentle demeanor in the posted clip on Instagram, and drew comparisons between her and other Chief Stews featured on the show.

“According to one fan, Aesha practices ‘gentle parenting.’ They expressed hope that the third stew improves, recalling a previous incident where Magda took advantage of Aesha’s patience and kindness.”

According to a third viewer on X, Aesha’s leadership style sets her apart from other Chief Stews, such as Fraser Olender from Below Deck Season 11. The viewer noted that Aesha is empathetic and supportive, while Fraser tends to complain and spread rumors.

Despite the errors made by the other stews on Below Deck Med, such as Elena waking up the chef and Bri misplacing the laundry, Aesha is committed to supporting their growth throughout the season.

The audience is anticipating that the stews will take heed of her advice and apply it during the upcoming charter on Below Deck. They appreciate her for setting an example and breaking the norm by showing that Chief Stews can exhibit kindness.
