Chief Stew Aesha Scott was thrilled to be working with her “second mom” Captain Sandy Yawn once again for another charter season on Below Deck Mediterranean Season 9.
Aesha Scott, a fan-favorite, will be making a comeback as Chief Stew on Season 9 of Below Deck Mediterranean. This will mark her third appearance on the show, having previously served as a second stew on Seasons 4 and 5.
She will reunite with Captain Sandy Yawn, whom she has been close friends with for many years, as she returns to work under her once again.
Aesha confessed in a teaser for the Below Deck Med Season 9 premiere, which airs on June 3, that she views Captain Sandy as more than just a boss.
Upon embarking on the charter yacht Mustique for her first day as Chief Stew, she embraced Captain Sandy and exclaimed, “Mama, I’ve returned home!”
During her confession, she detailed how she and her partner, Scott Dobson, developed a strong connection with Captain Sandy and her spouse, Leah Shafer, after their previous collaboration.
“For the past few years, Sandy has been like a second mother to me. My friend Scott and I have visited them in Denver.”
“Mama, see how much I’ve matured? Are you proud of me? I can’t wait to show her what I’m capable of. I long for Sandy to hold me in her embrace and reassure me that I am a good girl.”

Captain Sandy was delighted to have the opportunity to collaborate with Aesha once more and had always been impressed by her dedication and willingness to go above and beyond in their previous work together.
The captain admired the passion and desire to please clients that she noticed in her.
Aesha, who appeared on Below Deck Down Under alongside Captain Jason Chambers for two seasons, found herself back in her element when she returned to the Mediterranean to work with her former boss.
Fans eagerly anticipate the return of the dynamic duo to their screens, eagerly anticipating Aesha’s leadership role alongside Captain Sandy on the upcoming season of Below Deck Med.
