Benny Blanco introduces Selena Gomez to watermelon pickle sandwich in viral TikTok video

In a popular TikTok video, Benny Blanco, Selena Gomez’s boyfriend, convinced the singer to try a watermelon pickle sandwich.

Benny Blanco revealed on TikTok that he stumbled upon a recipe for a watermelon sandwich, utilizing watermelon slices as the bread, after spending “four hours”scrolling through various online content.

After deciding to take matters into his own hands, he created a unique sandwich using cheese, pickles, balsamic, and basil sandwiched between two slices of watermelon. Despite its unconventional ingredients, the producer took a moment to sample his creation and surprisingly found it to be quite palatable.

Blanco then dared his girlfriend, Selena Gomez, to taste the unusual combination. With hesitation, she reluctantly took a bite of the sandwich and declared, “I don’t think I’ll enjoy this, but I do love pickles.”

Upon tasting the food, Blanco inquired to the ‘Love On’ singer if she enjoyed it. However, the singer made a pained expression and gestured negatively before exiting the camera’s view.

The video, which has accumulated over 1.3 million views on TikTok and 6 million on Twitter/X, quickly went viral. Numerous fans expressed their concern for Gomez in the comments section.

Some viewers recommended using feta cheese instead of soft cheese in the recipe. One viewer wrote, “You have to try it with feta cheese!!”while another stated, “It’s a completely different experience with feta cheese.”
