In a viral video, Fulham goalkeeper Bernd Leno made a harsh remark, stating that he would rank Jordan Pickford as number 20 out of 10 goalkeepers when asked to rank them.
Leno was requested by Sky Sports Germany to participate in a blind ranking challenge, in which he was presented with a list of goalkeepers and asked to rank them from best to worst without any prior knowledge of the players’ identities or the order in which they would appear. He was not allowed to alter his selection once he had made his choices.
Once Manuel Neuer, Alisson Becker, and Thibaut Courtois had been selected for the first three spots, the former Arsenal goalkeeper was tasked with ranking Pickford’s name for the remaining four positions.
The German had already selected fifth, eighth, ninth and 10th, which left him with fourth, sixth and seventh as his only remaining options.
A smirk spread across Leno’s face as he playfully exclaimed “20!”before quickly clarifying “I’m just kidding!”and letting out a nervous laugh. After some consideration, the Fulham star ultimately decided on seventh place for Pickford, but was then prompted to reveal his own ranking on the list.
“While all of these goalkeepers are highly skilled, I believe I would be a better fit than Pickford and would place myself in the tenth spot,”he stated confidently.

Luckily for Leno, Fulham and Everton will not face each other again this season, which could have potentially added additional tension to the match.
The Toffees are currently facing a tough fight to remain in the Premier League, as they are currently four points ahead of the relegation zone with eight games remaining in the season.
Despite having their initial 10-point deduction for violating the league’s profit and sustainability regulations reduced to six on appeal, Sean Dyche’s team still faces the potential of another points deduction.
At the moment, Fulham is in 13th place, with a comfortable nine-point lead over Crystal Palace (14th) and only two points behind Bournemouth (12th). The team led by Marco Silva is aiming for a spot in the top half of the table, as they are only four points behind Chelsea (10th) and Brighton (ninth).
