Lies of P is a dark Soulslike based on the story of Pinocchio.
Preparing Your Build
At the beginning of the game, Lies of P presents players with three unique paths: the Path of the Sweeper, the Path of the Bastard, and the Path of the Cricket. Each of these paths caters to a different playstyle, so it is recommended to carefully choose the one that aligns with your preferences before creating the rest of your build. This will lead to optimal results.
Keep in mind that when you first begin playing Lies of P, you won’t be able to immediately create these builds. This is because certain weapons and items needed for the builds must be unlocked and discovered during your journey. However, the advantage is that you can start working towards these builds right from the beginning by focusing on the appropriate stats, skills, and weapon types that will be necessary later on.
Hence, you won’t be at a disadvantage during the wait to unlock the highest level gear. Your build will remain strong even before completing the ones ranked lower. Although there is no definitive meta for the most effective builds in Lies of P, the ones listed below are among the strongest and undoubtedly overpowering.
Best Motivity build in Lies of P
The top-performing Motivity build (Strength) is known as the Electric Fate build. While it is durable, it also incorporates electric shock damage in addition to its strong physical prowess. This prevents the build from falling into the common mistake made by many novice Soulslike players, who focus solely on strength and health without utilizing the game’s other offensive techniques. Similarly, trying to create a well-rounded strength build often results in a mediocre and ineffective character, lacking specialization in any particular area.
To create the Electric Fate build, choose the Sweeper path and focus on improving your Motivity, Vigor, and Vitality to ensure you possess enough power, endurance, and well-being. It is also essential to level up Capacity adequately as we will be equipping heavy equipment at the end of this build. While Technique is not crucial for this build, we suggest investing a few points in Advanced to optimize your secondary offensive abilities. After all, this build utilizes strength and electricity to form a lethal combination of skills.
After defeating the King of Puppets, the Wandering Merchant will soon have the Electric Chainsaw available for purchase. However, in the meantime, you can use the Greatsword of Fate handle with other weapons that support a Motivity build. Additionally, any items that enhance your electric attacks will be beneficial until the Electric Chainsaw is obtainable. Once you are able to combine the two, you will have a legendary weapon that can both electrocute and slice through your foes.
To enhance your attacks with electricity, utilize Fulminis for your Legion Arm. However, once you acquire the Electric Chainsaw, you have the option to switch to Aegis. It ultimately depends on your preference for Advanced or electric attacks. The Chainsaw may prove to be sufficient.
In the end, you should ultimately be utilizing the listed gear in this build.
Weapon: The Greatsword of Fate Handle paired with the Circular Electric Chainsaw Blade (along with the Motivity Crank)Armor: Fulminis, AegisAccessories: Nameless Carrier’s Amulet, Leaping Amulet (enhancing max weight capacity and stamina)Prioritized Upgrades: Boosting Pulse Cell count and Pulse Cell Recovery
Electric attacks are very powerful against most robotic enemies.
Best Technique for Building in the Game Lies of P
Introducing our latest build, the Tyrant Zapper. Begin by selecting the Path of the Bastard and prepare to unleash unparalleled speed and power. This build is ideal for achieving no-damage runs, as you can deal maximum damage before evading danger. Unlocking the Tyrant Murderer’s Dagger will have to wait until later in the game, so in the meantime, stick with the Wintry Rapier Handle and upgrade it to its highest potential.
The Puppet String Legion Arm will be available early on, allowing you to quickly establish the foundation of this build after defeating the first boss. With the Puppet String Arm, you can effortlessly draw enemies towards you, stun them, and manipulate the course of combat in ways that other Legion Arms do not offer.
It is recommended to prioritize your level-up stats in Technique, Capacity, and Vigor. This will enable you to effortlessly defeat bosses. While you can disregard Motivity, it is important to allocate some points into Vitality and Advanced to ensure sufficient stamina and powerful electric attacks. This combination will make you both fast and strong.
Make sure you have the following gear equipped by the end of the game:
The handle and blade of the Tyrant Murderer’s Dagger feature an Electric Coil Stick Head and a Technique Crank. The Legion Arm is equipped with a Puppet String for control. Amulets such as the Dancing One’s and Iron Wall are used to improve dodging and defense. The P-Organs should be prioritized for increasing the duration of stagger and enhancing fatal attack ATK.
The Best Advanced Build in Lies of P
In this build, we will be incorporating elements from both of the previously mentioned builds, with a greater focus on electric damage. While the game offers other elements to utilize, like Acid and Fire, Electric attacks have proven to be the most advantageous and dominant, so we are prioritizing them. However, this build can also be achieved by substituting the weapon and Legion Arm for more acidic or fiery options, allowing for a diverse range of elemental attacks. The enhancements to the Advance skill and elemental attacks will still be applicable in this alternate build.
To maintain the classic Dexterity attacks and incorporate high amounts of elemental damage, this build will be named Electro Tyrant. As we continue crafting a traditional Dex build, the Path of the Bastard will once again be our selection. The preferred Technique weapon for this build is the Tyrant Murderer’s Dagger paired with the electric Coil Stick Head. However, if the abundance of electricity is too much, the Coil Stick Head can be replaced with a more suitable blade for Technique weapons. Keep in mind that the goal of this build is to create a supremely overpowered Advance build.
To guarantee optimal electric power, opt for Filminis as your Legion Arm, but do not hesitate to change to a different one if you are satisfied with your Advance damage. When it comes to upgrading your stats, prioritize Advance, Technique, and Vigor, while also ensuring you do not overlook Capacity and Vitality. This build can be considered the equivalent of an elemental battle mage in Lies of P.
Make sure to have the following gear equipped by the end of the game:
The weapon being used is the Tyrant Murderer’s Dagger Handle with the Electric Coil Stick Head, accompanied by the Advance Crank. The Legion Arm being utilized is the Fulminis, along with the Triumvirate Amulet and the Transformation Amulet, both of which enhance the abilities of the Legion Arm and Advance. When it comes to P-Organs, the focus should be on increasing Stagger Duration and enhancing Fatal Attack ATK.
