In Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, the MP5 C9 Submachine Gun continues the tradition of being one of the top weapons in the game. While it may not be the absolute best, it has consistently been a strong contender. By utilizing the right Gunsmith build, the C9 can become a formidable force. The suggested build listed here is highly effective.
The Best Attachments for the C9 SMG in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6
Despite not having any attachments, the C9 is a formidable weapon and can easily be considered one of the top guns in Black Ops 6. Equipping it with the optimal build will elevate its performance even further. While it may not match the capabilities of the Jackal PDW, it remains a strong competitor, especially on the close quarters maps prevalent in Black Ops 6. Here are my recommended attachments for the ultimate C9 SMG loadout.
C9 Muzzle Attachment: Compensator
One of the standout features of the attachments in Black Ops 6 is their lack of significant drawbacks, which is a major departure from the Modern Warfare reboots. This means that equipping the Compensator will greatly improve your vertical recoil control without any negative effects on your ADS time or Aim Stability. In my opinion, the Compensator is a more advantageous choice for the C9 compared to a suppressor, unless you are aiming for a completely stealthy loadout. With the fast-paced gameplay in Black Ops 6, the Compensator allows for more versatility in playstyles and makes going loud a viable option.
C9 Barrel Attachment: Long Barrel
In my opinion, the C9 benefits from the other barrel attachments, but the flat bonus to the weapon’s damage falloff range is hard to dispute. Improving an SMG’s consistency at longer ranges holds more value for me than any potential increase in bullet velocity within its default range. It would be unwise to attempt to outshoot an assault rifle or sniper with the C9, but with the addition of the Long Barrel, the weapon gains a few extra meters of lethal range that can prove extremely useful.
C9 Magazine
Despite losing one magazine from the C9’s inventory when using the Flip Mag attachment, you will gain a slight increase in reload speed, ADS speed, and sprint-to-fire speed which could prove crucial in winning a fight. While the bonuses to these stats may not be significant, when combined with other attachments that will be listed shortly, the C9 becomes a more dependable weapon in both the beginning and end of a fight. Additionally, the animation of the Flip Mag is aesthetically pleasing.
C9 Rear Grip Attachment: CQB Grip
By combining the sprint-to-fire speed bonus of the Flip Mag with the buffs provided by the CQB grip, the C9 becomes an extremely forgiving weapon for navigating the map quickly. Additionally, the slide and dive-to-fire bonuses are a great addition, especially in Black Ops 6 where these movements are crucial.
C9 Stock: No Stock
Selecting the ideal stock for the C9 proved to be a challenging task as each option offers its own advantages. Being an SMG, the key factor is mobility. By equipping the No Stock attachment, the C9 experiences a significant boost in hipfire and strafing movement speed. This is crucial in situations where you encounter an enemy before you have a chance to aim down sights. In a world where the Jackal PDW is present, the C9 requires all the movement speed and hipfire enhancements it can get.
This C9 build will greatly improve your ability to defeat opponents in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 multiplayer. While SMGs may not be as dominant as they were in previous games, they remain the top weapon class in the game, so choose your battles wisely.
