Georgia, with the help of their standout quarterback Carson Beck, holds the highest ranking at 94 OVR, tied with the Oregon Ducks.
The Bulldogs secured the fifth spot in the nation for yards per game (496.5) in the 2023 season, falling behind only LSU. However, Oregon, who ranked second in the nation (531.4) last year, will not have Bo Nix as their quarterback for the upcoming season.
The top five is completed by perennial powerhouses Alabama, Texas, and Ohio State. The team is led by star quarterback and College Football 25 cover athlete Quinn Ewers.

Last year, the Ohio State Buckeyes ranked second in the nation for lowest points allowed per game (11.23), coming in just behind their rival team Michigan. However, with the departure of Kris Jenkins and Mike Sainristil to the professional league, Ohio State has claimed the top spot at the start of the 2024 season.
During the previous season, Georgia’s defense proved its strength by limiting opponents to an average of 15.64 points per game, an impressive feat considering the tough competition in the SEC. As the new season begins, the Bulldogs boast the second-ranked defense in the league.
