In order to gain an early advantage and secure a Victory Royale in your Battle Royale matches, carefully selecting the optimal landing spots is essential during Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4.
In Fortnite, certain locations have been proven to be more desirable than others when jumping out of the Battle Bus, whether they offer plentiful loot or strategic positioning on the Island.
The introduction of Doctor Doom’s reign in Fortnite’s Absolute Doom season has led to the inclusion of various Marvel elements on the island. This includes three new POIs and the introduction of both new and previously featured Marvel weapons.
After careful evaluation, specific locations have emerged as having significant potential compared to others. Therefore, here are the top Fortnite landing spots for Chapter 5 Season 4.
Top Places to Land
1. The Raft
The Raft has easily become the best landing spot for the Absolute Doom season.
Despite the recent attention given to Castle Doom and the nearby Doomstadt POI due to the release of Chapter 5 Season 4, The Raft remains the top location of them all.
With a total of 83 chest spawns, it boasts the highest number among all locations. Additionally, it ties for the most Avengers (4) and Dr. Doom (6) chests, resulting in an incredible loot haul for a relatively small point of interest. Despite its size, it has gained popularity due to the presence of mythic loot, the defeat of Emma Frost, and the inclusion of Gwenpool’s missions.
As you navigate through the corridors and sections of The Raft prison, it is important to remain vigilant and listen for approaching footsteps. The Pleasant Piazza, which has been introduced as a replacement for this season, is reminiscent of a compact multiplayer level that one might encounter in a Creative Gun Game map. However, successfully escaping from the prison will reward you with a bounty of loot and a strategic central location to move between storm circles.
2. Castle Doom
Doctor Doom’s home is jam-packed with strong loot.
Castle Doom takes the second spot in popularity, quickly becoming a top destination on the island. It offers 82 chests in total, only one less than The Raft, and boasts the same number of Avengers Chests (4) and Dr. Doom Chests (6).
Doctor Doom’s residence is guarded by the formidable Doombot, an NPC boss who resides on his throne. Amidst the chaos, players can strategically target specific areas of the castle or the nearby forge to quickly gather loot. If Doombot is successfully defeated, players will be rewarded with the Siphon Medallion, Doctor Doom’s powerful Arcane Gauntlets, and the Monarch Pistol.
Doom’s Castle’s position at the top right of the island presents challenges for a quick escape, particularly if one is deep within the castle walls and vehicles are a considerable distance away. Navigating the POI is also more intricate compared to other locations, as it consists of multiple rooms and buildings situated on varying levels.
Therefore, it is important to closely monitor the direction of the storm’s movements in order to avoid the need for a sudden escape.
The Underworld
The Underworld has proved to remain a strong POI location in Chapter 5 Season 4.
Despite having a larger number of chests, the chests in the Underworld are spread out more than those in Doomstadt. However, the presence of green water in the Underworld allows for the use of Underworld Dash charges, making it easy to quickly jump and move around to either collect loot or escape swiftly.
Despite lacking any Dr. Doom Chests to acquire, there are still 5 Avengers Chests available at this location, making it the third highest spawn total of 58 chests. However, caution should be exercised when navigating the POI as it is primarily open, leaving you vulnerable to close to medium range attacks, with the exception of the main building.
Location: Doomstadt
Doomstadt is a small town ruled by Doctor Doom.
Despite being the worst of the three new POI locations included in the Absolute Doom season update, Doomstadt still surpasses the majority of Chapter 5 Season 4 locations.
In the small village, there are 53 chest spawns, which is the fourth highest amount. These include 2 Dr. Doom Chests and 4 Avengers Chests. Upon landing, head directly to a nearby house and monitor where other players are landing. Then, gather loot and eliminate any nearby enemies.
This area also includes the NPC boss Mysterio, who drops the Stealth Medallion and the Sovereign Shotgun mythic. Additionally, players can discover the hidden Iron Man bunker in the corner, or visit the Dough-Main bakery, paying tribute to the original Doom’s Domain POI from Chapter 2 Season 4.
5. Doom’s Courtyard

Despite not being as loot-dense as other locations on the list or across the map, this quieter option is still a viable choice.
Despite having a reduced number of opponents, the location still includes many elements from the Classy Courts POI, including the central building and parking area, making it simple to maneuver. Additionally, it offers 2 Dr. Doom chests, providing access to valuable Marvel items.
We suggest landing directly beneath the statue’s heads, as you will find three regular gold chests and a Dr. Doom chest upon entering. This allows you to quickly gather loot and eliminate any nearby enemies. Additionally, this landing spot is conveniently located between the Castle Doom and Doomstadt POIs and offers a car in the nearby parking lot for a quick getaway.
Reckless Railways
The train has returned and is back running through Reckless Railways.
Despite losing much of its popularity, Grand Station, the main train station at Reckless Railways, remains one of the best landing spots in Chapter 5 Season 4. Its central location and abundance of loot make it a desirable location for players, and the return of the train adds even more excitement to this area. There is still plenty of fun to be had at Reckless Railways, thanks to Grand Station’s presence.
Featuring a total of 47 chests, including 4 Avengers Chests and seven vehicles scattered throughout, this location is ideal for gearing up and setting off. It serves as a convenient midpoint between popular destinations like Castle Doom and Mount Olympus, and its central placement on the map, coupled with the availability of multiple vehicles, makes it a versatile choice for any situation or storm circle location.
