The Longbow has become even more formidable in MW3 thanks to a recent addition of a potent Aftermarket Part. To make the most of the JAK Tyrant 762 Kit and dominate in multiplayer, here is the recommended loadout.
Despite initially being the favored quickscoping weapon in Modern Warfare 3, the Longbow lost its popularity with the introduction of the XRK Stalker in Season 1 due to its significantly higher damage and range.
In Season 2, the Longbow regained its title as the top weapon due to the inclusion of the JAK Tyrant 762 Kit. Although this Aftermarket Part was initially overpowered, it was later toned down. However, it remains a top-tier weapon and can be extremely powerful when wielded by skilled players.
The ultimate Longbow loadout for MW3 is guaranteed to help you succeed in any situation, offering the ability to one-shot opponents up close and at a distance, ensuring your dominance on the battlefield.

- Conversion Kit: JAK Tyrant 762 Kit
- Laser: SL Razorhawk Laser Light
- Stock: No Stock
- Underbarrel: DR-6 Handstop
- Rear Grip: Nought-Z3 Grip
The JAK Tyrant 762 conversion kit is a clear and advantageous option as it significantly increases damage and improves both ADS Speed and ADS Movement Speed. This allows the Longbow to consistently secure one-shot kills and quickly aim in to effectively compete with shotguns and SMGs at close range.
With the JAK Tyrant 762 Kit increasing damage output, it is recommended to prioritize attachments that improve handling and mobility. The most beneficial attachment for this purpose is the SL Razorhawk Laser Light, which offers a significant 22% increase in Sprint to Fire Speed and 9% in ADS Speed.
The effectiveness of the Longbow’s handling can be boosted with the use of the No Stock, DR-6 Handstop, and Nought-Z3 Grip. These attachments significantly increase the ADS speed, which is a crucial stat for a sniper rifle in multiplayer. This is especially important for the Longbow, which may not have the same range as other competitive rifles, but relies heavily on its handling to remain competitive.
This configuration produces an impressive ADS Speed of only 358 ms and an astonishing Sprint to Fire Speed of 106 ms. Considering the ability to deliver instant kills with shots to the lower torso or above, it’s hard to believe this Longbow build isn’t one of the top weapons in MW3 multiplayer.
Best Longbow Class: Perks & Equipment
- Vest: Infantry Vest
- Increases Tac Sprint duration and reduces refresh time.
- Gloves: Marksman Gloves
- Reduced sway and flinch while ADS.
- Boots: All-Terrain Boots
- Significantly increased movement speed. Disabled Tactical Sprint.
- Gear: Tac Mask
- Reduces the strength of enemy flash, stun, and gas grenade. Immunity to shock, EMP, and Snapshot grenades.
- Lethal: Throwing Knife
- Retrievable throwing knife that is lethal on impact in core multiplayer.
- Tactical: Flash Grenade
- Blinds and deafens targets.
This loadout features the Infantry Vest, which offers a well-balanced combination of equipment and a longer duration for Tactical Sprint. Additionally, the Marksman Gloves greatly improve sniping and quickscoping abilities by reducing flinch and minimizing the risk of missing crucial shots.
Released during Season 3 Reloaded, the All-Terrain Boots are an excellent choice for those who prefer a more aggressive playstyle. These boots enhance your movement speed, allowing you to navigate MW3’s maps with greater speed and agility, which pairs well with the Longbow’s exceptional handling. While using these boots does come at the cost of disabling Tactical Sprint, the boost they provide is well worth the trade-off.
Although being aggressive can be effective, there are times when a defensive approach is necessary to secure a victory. In such situations, selecting Tac Mask is a clear decision as it weakens the impact of enemy tactical grenades. In reality, being stunned or blinded while using a slow-firing sniper usually leads to defeat unless you have this perk equipped.
Due to the close proximity in which you’ll be engaging with this quickscoping loadout, incorporating a Throwing Knife will not only enhance your gameplay with added flair, but also provide the perfect opportunity to capture impressive montage footage. In instances where you need to apply pressure to your enemies and secure effortless eliminations, a Flash Grenade can be utilized to temporarily blind them, rendering them defenseless.
