On May 28th, just before the final episode (episode 16) was broadcasted, the cast of “Lovely Runner”were asked by tvN to choose the most memorable scenes from the show. The drama has gained widespread popularity due to the incredible chemistry between the SolSeon couple, their romantic and heart-fluttering dialogue and scenes, and the actors’ perfect portrayal of their characters.
Byun Woo-seok, who gained fame as the beloved ‘first love icon’ for his portrayal of Ryu Seon-jae, a character who had been pining for Im Sol for 15 years, reflected on the memorable moment in episode 15 when Seon-jae finally regained his lost memories. The actor recalled, with intensity, the emotions he felt while playing Seon-jae in that scene, as he reunited with Sol after 15 long years. The raw and passionate portrayal of Seon-jae left a lasting impact on both the audience and the actor himself.
Kim Hye-yoon has captivated audiences with her versatile portrayal of Im Sol, from a high school student to a college student and an office worker, creating numerous memorable scenes and lines. One of the most iconic moments was in episode 2, when Sol runs towards Seon-jae with a yellow umbrella. Reflecting on this scene, Kim Hye-yoon shared, “I see it as the first meeting between Seon-jae and Sol, and the start of their love story” . She went on to mention Seon-jae’s famous line, “Let’s make the most of today because the weather is beautiful”, which she found
Song Geon-hee, who portrayed the character of Kim Tae-sung, the bass player of a band, an ulzzang, and Im Sol’s first love, expressed that the epilogue in episode 2 was his favorite scene. He mentioned that he was deeply moved by the way Seon-jae fell in love with Sol the moment she put an umbrella over him. He also added that the revelation of Seon-jae’s secret love for Sol for the past 15 years and the intense emotions portrayed in the scene were unforgettable.
In the drama, Lee Seung-hyeop portrays Baek In-hyuk, the leader of ECLIPSE and best friend of Ryu Seon-jae. He fondly recalled his parody of Jung Dae-man from “Slam Dunk”in episode 11, which was well-received by viewers. This was his first time incorporating comedy into his acting, and although he was initially nervous during filming, the positive feedback from viewers made it a fun experience.
On May 28th, the final episode of “Lovely Runner”will be broadcasted at 8:50 p.m. on tvN’s Mon-Tue drama.
