The Static-HV is a powerful weapon in MW3, no matter how it is customized. However, equipping it with a meta loadout elevates it to one of the top weapons in multiplayer.
The Static-HV, which made its debut in Season 5, is an incredibly potent SMG that is considered one of the top choices in 6v6 matches. Its exceptional adaptability plays a major role in this, as it is widely regarded as one of the most versatile submachine guns in Modern Warfare 3.
The Static-HV’s notable advantages include a spacious magazine, quick firing rate, and swift maneuverability. These qualities make it an excellent choice for aggressive tactics such as rushing and flanking. Additionally, its minimal recoil allows for effective long-range shooting when needed.
In reality, the Static-HV has a striking resemblance to the FSS Hurricane but with enhanced abilities. Players who were fans of the MW2 gun, which is not as effective in this year’s game, will surely appreciate this strong successor.
Best Static-HV MW3 Loadout
- Muzzle: Quartermaster Suppressor
- Barrel: Auger 840 Light Barrel
- Optic: JAK Glassless Optic
- Underbarrel: Paracord Grip
- Rear Grip: Thar-V1.2 Grip
The ultimate goal is for the Static-HV to maintain its excellent recoil control and handling while also feeling as mobile as possible. The Paracord Grip is the perfect attachment for achieving this, as it offers multiple benefits such as improved sprint to fire speed and reduced horizontal recoil without any drawbacks.
Similarly, the Thar-V1.2 Grip offers only benefits without any drawbacks. By enhancing hipfire and Tactical Stance accuracy, this rear grip provides the SMG with an advantage in close-range combat, where these abilities are typically preferred.
The Quartermaster Suppressor comes after, serving as a muzzle attachment that effectively reduces recoil and suppresses outgoing gunfire by 23%. While it may slightly decrease ADS Speed and sprint to fire speed, these reductions are minimal and can easily be compensated for with the use of the Auger 840 Light Barrel, which further enhances these stats and allows for a highly mobile playstyle with the Static-HV.
Although the Static-HV’s iron sights are not optimal, as they can obstruct the sightlines and make it difficult to see clearly, there are ways to remedy this issue. One popular solution is to use a meta optic such as the JAK Glassless Optic. However, there are other viable alternatives that the community recommends, such as the MORS Dot Sight, Cronen Mini Pro, and Slate Reflector.
Best Static-HV Class: Perks and Equipment
- Vest: Engineer Vest
- Gloves: Commando Gloves
- Boots: Covert Sneakers
- Gear 1: Ghost T/V Camo
- Gear 2: Compression Plate
- Lethal: Drill Charge
- Tactical: Shock Stick (x2)
The Engineer Vest is a highly adaptable vest in multiplayer, offering four perks, both lethal slots, and a Field Upgrade. Furthermore, it allows players to detect enemy equipment through walls, reducing the chances of accidentally triggering a Claymore or Proximity Mine and facing a sudden death.
To fully utilize this loadout’s suppressor, it is recommended to equip both the Covert Sneakers and Ghost T/V Camo perks. These two meta perks work together to effectively silence your footsteps and prevent you from being detected on enemy UAVs. This powerful combination allows for seamless flanking and repositioning without alerting the enemy, making it easier to secure quick kills.
When facing enemies without the element of surprise, the Commando Gloves and Compression Plate perks prove invaluable. They offer an array of advantageous features for engaging in gun battles, such as increased sprint to fire speed, the option to reload while sprinting, and immediate health regeneration after each kill.
Although personal preference plays a significant role in choosing equipment, pairing a Shock Stick with a Drill Charge is an effective combination. These powerful tools can be used to punish players who remain stationary, whether through electrocution or explosion. This allows you to apply pressure to campers who refuse to budge.
How to Unlock the Static-HV
The Static-HV can be obtained by completing Sector 6 of the Season 5 Battle Pass or by extracting the new SMG in Zombies. The latter option is the quickest way to unlock it, provided that you have someone who is willing to drop it for you.
Top Alternative to Static-HV in MW3
The Rival-9, similar to the Static-HV, is a highly maneuverable SMG that excels in close-quarters combat as well as medium-range engagements. While the Rival-9 does have higher recoil than the Static-HV, its exceptional handling abilities more than compensate for this.
Aside from these meta SMGs, there are other options available as well. The Superi 46, FJX Horus, and WSP-9 are all highly competitive choices in the current meta. To get a comprehensive understanding of the available weapons, refer to MW3’s complete gun list.
