Sharky, one of the participants, went live on Instagram to announce that the event had been cancelled and to denounce supporters who stormed the field. He expressed his sadness that neither team would receive a trophy and was disheartened that the event had concluded in this manner.
Despite the interruption, the stream was restored just 30 minutes after it went down. It was announced that there would be a penalty kick-off to determine the winner. However, there were still difficulties in clearing the field of fans at that time.
