The legendary Binding of Isaac BibleThump emote continues to thrive even after Twitch discontinued it as an official emote, thanks to the endorsement from its original creator.
On September 25, 2024, Twitch announced the removal of the beloved BibleThump emote, attributing the decision to the expiration of the company’s licensing agreement, which is set to end on October 1.
The streaming platform Kick, which is owned by Stake, showed interest in acquiring the rights to BibleThump. However, Binding of Isaac creator Edmund McMillen was eager to find an alternative way to keep the emote alive.
On September 30, McMillen confirmed that BibleThump would continue its legacy as it has been integrated into popular emote plugins FrankerFaceZ and 7TV.

Both FrankerFaceZ and 7TV shared this exciting news across their social media platforms.

Fans quickly flooded the comments of each announcement, expressing their excitement for the continuation of the BibleThump emote, which has a prominent place in the Twitch community through FFZ and 7TV.

In response to the discontinuation, Twitch has introduced three new emotes to replace the classic BibleThump. However, users have expressed a clear lack of interest in the new offerings.
As a result, the Amazon-owned platform has opted for the new purple-faced emote dubbed ‘bigsad’, which is already available for use.
