Big-brained Twitch streamer topples Elden Ring DLC boss with mind control

Using only her own intelligence, a Twitch streamer successfully defeated the first major boss in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree.

The Shadow of the Erdtree DLC for Elden Ring has gained a reputation for its extreme difficulty, causing its Steam rating to decrease to ‘mixed’ and leading popular streamer Asmongold to abandon it entirely.

Undoubtedly, the level of difficulty is a fundamental aspect of all FromSoftware games, and Elden Ring’s main game is no exception. It encourages players to take on extreme challenges, such as completing the game with unconventional methods like using a dance pad, their own voice, or even a goldfish.

Twitch streamer Perrikaryal may have outdone herself by utilizing her trademark “Mind Control”technique to defeat one of the notoriously challenging Elden Ring DLC bosses, Shadow of the Erdtree’s Divine Beast Dancing Lion, with ease.

We were initially made aware of Perrikaryal’s mind control tactics when she demonstrated it on Palworld. The streamer utilizes an electroencephalogram (EEG) tool to monitor her brain activity through small sensors that detect electrical signals associated with specific thought patterns.

Essentially, Perrikaryal utilizes designated keybinds that correspond with certain signals detected by the EEG to execute in-game actions. In a different video, she elaborated on her thought process, which includes imagining a cricket to jump, pushing a box forward to roll, and channeling anger to heal.

Perrikaryal was able to defeat the first boss of Shadow of the Erdtree with the assistance of a summon and by utilizing the Bloody Slash Ash of War for continuous damage. She has now triumphed over the second significant boss of Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree DLC with the use of her mind-control device.

Despite the limited inputs of her EEG controller, the streamer is continuously striving to improve it in order to develop more inclusive methods of gaming.
