In response to the uproar, Ha Sungwoon’s agency, Big Planet Made Entertainment, issued an official statement on October 4, as reported by Xports News.
In their response, the agency addressed Baek Yerin’s Instagram accusations, clarifying that Ha Sungwoon was not involved in any plagiarism issues. They explained that he only provided vocals for the soundtrack, which was requested by the show’s production team, and confirmed that neither the soloist nor the agency participated in the song’s lyrical composition or arrangement.
Furthermore, the agency expressed regret over the controversy surrounding the soundtrack, acknowledging that it had become a concerning topic among fans due to the plagiarism disputes. However, Big Planet Made remains hopeful for a resolution between Baek Yerin and the producers of “What Are We.”
