During Season 22 of Apex Legends, the addition of akimbo, or dual-wield, guns included the P2020 and Mozambique. As a result, a player discovered a bug that allowed them to simultaneously dual-wield both sidearms.
Respawn’s intention was for players to exclusively dual wield the same weapon, further enhancing the already formidable Mozambique and P2020 in the latest season. The player community has shown positive reception towards the Akimbo versions of these weapons, recognizing their potential to drastically impact gameplay when used by the right Legend in specific situations.
Despite this, a player has stumbled upon a glitch that enabled them to dual wield the P2020 and Mozambique simultaneously in their respective dual-wield forms. In a Reddit post, the player explained that the glitched Akimbo weapons even had the correct reload animations.

Upon encountering the bug, the player who reported it was unsure of how it occurred. However, a Reddit user in the thread clarified that Ballistic, with his unique passive of holding three weapons, has a significant likelihood of triggering these glitches.
“According to the user, there is a higher likelihood of encountering bugs with the akimbo feature in Ballistic compared to other weapons. However, it is possible to encounter bugs with any weapon, including akimbo weapons.”
Despite the potential for it to be a successful strategy, the player who discovered the bug described the shooting as “erratic and unusual.”They noted that the weapons still fired consecutively, resulting in a slower pace compared to dual-wielding the same gun.
The player expressed their dissatisfaction with the magazine size of 13, which is less than the 16 typically seen in the corner. They also mentioned the inconvenience of having to reload when there are still three shots remaining, stating that it combines the worst aspects of both situations.
Despite his unique and intriguing abilities, Ballistic has consistently been considered one of the weakest characters in Apex Legends for several seasons. Although this bug adds an interesting element to his gameplay, it does not provide enough incentive for players to choose him over other, more powerful characters.
