Black Butler: Ciel and Sebastian’s Relaxing Day and the Rise of a New Enemy

Episode 11 of season 4 of Black Butler, entitled His Butler, Taking Off, aired on Saturday, June 22, 2024, on Tokyo MX, BS11, and other networks in Japan. The episode followed the daily activities of Ciel Phantomhive and his loyal butler Sebastian Michaelis both inside and outside of the manor.

Despite being in its fourth season, the final episode of the show evoked feelings of nostalgia for longtime fans. It brought back numerous beloved characters from previous seasons, a treat for those who have been following the series since its beginning.

Despite the various events of Black Butler season 4 episode 11, the most significant aspect was the concluding scenes that conveyed the ongoing nature of Ciel and Sebastian’s exploits. The episode adapted chapters 85 and the first portion of chapter 86 from Yana Toboso’s manga series.

Sebastian’s Earnest Request to Ciel Phantomhive in Black Butler Season 4 Episode 11

The eleventh episode of Black Butler season 4 opens with Mey-Rin, Finnian, Baldory, and the rest of the staff carrying out their daily tasks at the Phantomhive estate, all under the watchful eye of their butler, Sebastian Michaelis. After carefully observing their work, Sebastian makes his way to Ciel’s quarters to wake him from his slumber.

Sebastian serves Ciel a blend tea from Fortnum & Mason, adding a touch of honey and milk to suit his taste. As Ciel enjoys his tea, Sebastian informs him that there is a stack of documents that need his signature.

In addition, Ciel is reminded by the butler that the individual in charge of the recently opened department at Harrod’s wishes for him to pay a visit. After agreeing to do so, Sebastian makes another request.

According to the 11th episode of Black Butler’s fourth season, Sebastian Michaelis expresses his desire to buy Mey-Rin a new pair of glasses and Finny (Finnian) a new hat. However, Soma’s entrance into Ciel’s room creates chaos.

He is heartbroken to find himself abandoned at Weston College, as Ciel has decided to leave. However, Ciel and Sebastian soon realize that Soma’s loyal butler, Agni, has also joined the Indian royalty at the college.

In episode 11 of Black Butler season 4, it is revealed that Agni had been secretly keeping an eye on Soma during his time at Weston College. Surprisingly, Sebastian had been aware of this the entire time. Despite this, Ciel and Sebastian ask Agni and Soma to watch over the house in their absence as they have urgent matters to attend to.

Fourth season, eleventh episode: Sebastian’s assistance to Irene Diaz following errands with Ciel

Upon instructing Soma and Agni to guard the house, Ciel Phantomhive and Sebastian depart to attend to their essential task, accompanied by Finny, Mey-Rin, and other servants of the Phantomhive household in their private carriage.

In episode 11 of Black Butler season 4, viewers are treated to a stunning view of London. The Phantomhive servants marvel at the towering Big Ben and the Tower Bridge, which is currently being built.

Upon reaching their destination, Ciel makes purchases for Mey-Rin and Finnian, including new glasses and a straw hat. The shopping excursion continues as the young Phantomhive buys Arthur’s historical fiction and treats for himself and the servants.

Despite having completed all tasks, Ciel believes it is now time to conduct the inspection. However, before doing so, Sebastian insists on making a final stop at Somerset House. When Ciel inquires about his purpose, the butler presents the boy with Undertaker’s collection of mourning lockets.

Sebastian discloses in episode 11 of Black Butler’s fourth season that he has conducted extensive research on the lockets, uncovering the name of Claudia Phantomhive, Ciel’s grandmother, engraved on one of them.

The boy assumes that Undertaker has had ties to the Phantomhive family since before the previous earl’s time. Later in Black Butler season 4 episode 11, Ciel and his companions are shown visiting the new Harrod department.

Michaelis Sebastian believes that the advertisement and mascot for the perfume could use some improvements. However, while conversing with Ciel, they are suddenly interrupted by a loud scream. They quickly realize that a wagon has overturned by mistake. Sebastian promptly runs to assist, then instructs the servants to tend to Ciel.

Surprisingly, the butler stumbles upon Irene Diaz, a renowned opera singer and actress, inside the wagon with Julius Pittman, a fellow actor from the haymarket. Diaz discloses that she was en route to the theatre for a performance and was not meant to be seen with Julius, who was her competitor in the acting industry.

Meanwhile, the cast and crew of the play were worried about Irene’s delay, but Sebastian took charge and energetically pulled the wagon to rush to the theatre and make sure she arrived on time.

In episode 11 of Black Butler season 4, Irene makes a grand entrance by riding Funtom’s unicorn stuffed animal. Her impressive arrival and outstanding performance leave the audience in awe and earn their admiration.

Meanwhile, Sebastian finally arrives to rescue Ciel and the Phantomhive servants who have been patiently waiting for him. As they stand amidst the bustling crowd gathered around Harrod’s perfume stall, Sebastian sheds his unicorn disguise.

When Ciel asks about his attire, Sebastian discloses that he has been promoting the latest Funtom product. His strategy proves successful as the sales for the new product double.

Black Butler: A New Threat in Germany for Ciel and Phantomhive

Following the conclusion of the episode, Black Butler season 4 episode 11 shifts the scene to Germany, where two aristocrats on horseback embark on a fox hunt. As the fox evades their hunting hounds and disappears into the forest, they contemplate whether to pursue it or not.

Despite one of the nobles mentioning a disturbing rumor about the forest being cursed, they still choose to venture into it. As they make their way through the trees, they come across an elderly woman adorned with an amulet. She warns them to flee or risk falling under the curse.

Despite her warnings, the nobles continue to venture deeper into the woods. Eventually, they come across their hunting dogs growling at something and decide to investigate further.
