The first episode of Black Butler: Public School Arc will premiere on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 11:30 pm JST this year. It will be broadcasted on Tokyo MX, BS11, and other networks. Additionally, viewers can stream the episode on Crunchyroll.
The Black Butler anime, produced by CloverWorks, is an adaptation of the manga series of the same name by Yana Toboso. The manga has been serialized in Square Enix’s shounen manga magazine Monthly GFantasy since September 2006. This new season of the anime is expected to cover chapters 67 to 85, which make up the seventh arc of the manga.

The initial installment of the anime is scheduled to debut on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 11:30 pm JST, coinciding with the release of the spring 2024 anime lineup. Following its premiere, the English, Latin American Spanish, French, German, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu versions of the anime will be made available on Crunchyroll.

Possible Outcomes
In the first episode of Black Butler’s Public School Arc, viewers will see Queen Victoria convey her concerns about her cousin Duke Clemens’ son, Derrick Arden, in a letter to Ciel Phantomhive. Derrick, along with a group of other students, has been attending Weston College, one of the most prestigious public schools in Great Britain, since the previous summer, causing distress among their families.
In order to conduct his investigation, Ciel will decide to enter Weston College and will task Sebastian Michaelis with finding a way in. As Ciel becomes a member of the college, viewers will also be introduced to the four Prefects.
Behind the scenes of the anime
The first episode of the Public School Arc in Black Butler is anticipated to showcase prominent voice actors such as Maaya Sakamoto as Ciel Phantomhive, Daisuke Ono as Sebastian Michaelis, Junya Enoki as Lawrence Bluewer, Shunsuke Takeuchi as Herman Greenhill, Tatsumaru Tachibana as Gregory Violet, and Toshiki Watanabe as Edgar Redmond.
The production of the anime is overseen by CloverWorks and Kenjiro Okada serves as the director. The series composition is handled by Hiroyuki Yoshino and the music is composed by Ryo Kawasaki. Yumi Shimizu is responsible for the character design and Kuniaki Nemoto serves as the art director. The chief animation directors are Akira Takata, Mio Inoguchi, Yumi Shimizu, and Yusuke Shimizu, while Jin Aketagawa is in charge of sound direction. The background art is handled by Kusanagi and CGI is managed by Katsuaki Miyaji.
Tsubasa Kanamori serves as the director of photography, while Risa Iraha is responsible for the art direction and Asuka Yokota handles color design. Editing duties are carried out by Rina Koguchi, while Akira Takata is credited for sub-character design and Yuya Sakuma for technical direction.
The first episode of Black Butler: Public School Arc will feature The Parade of Battlers, performed by -otoha-, as the opening theme and Shokuzai, sung by SID, as the ending theme. Both songs will be featured in the anime’s soundtrack.
