The 371st chapter of Black Clover, titled “Indestructible Souls,”began with the ongoing battle between Mereoleona and Paladin Moris Libardirt. After Moris Libardirt used his Earth Magic to decay all of Mereoleona’s Crimson Lions subordinates, he then activated his spell, March of Holy Fools, which summoned numerous soldiers from the ground to charge towards Mereoleona.

Despite the Crimson Lions Magic Knight’s attempts to burn them all away, the enemies remained standing due to their incredibly fast regeneration. Soon after, Moris Libardirt began his monologue, revealing that he had spent years conducting research and experiments in the pursuit of transcending the world’s limitations. Just when he thought his efforts were in vain, he was chosen by God.

Thanks to Lucius Zogratis, he was blessed with a Magic attribute that enabled him to both destroy and create. As a result, his relentless efforts were not in vain.

In Black Clover chapter 371, a shift in focus was made to Mereoleona as she battled against Moris’ soldiers. As she struggled, she became aware of her physical deterioration and began to question the limits of her human body. The flashback in the chapter then revealed more about Mereoleona’s past.

Despite Mereoleona’s incredible strength even before obtaining her grimoire, she found herself without any training partners due to her intimidating abilities. As a result, she chose to train alone, pushing herself through challenging magic regions and facing ferocious monsters. Just when she believed she had reached the pinnacle of her power, she came to the realization of her own limitations.

Mereoleona was quickly reminded of her Crimson Lions comrades. She recalled their desire to be trained by her, even though they were already pushing themselves to their limits. They were determined to continue in order to match her level of strength.

The present timeline was resumed in the manga chapter when Fuegoleon, Mereoleona’s brother, appeared to assist her. However, she did not require his aid as she had seemingly unlocked a new spell in her grimoire, called Ultimate Magic: Excelictus Leonum.

During this spell, Mereoleona transcended her human form and transformed into pure mana. She also summoned flames of resurrection, allowing her to bring back the souls of her fallen subordinates and incorporate them into her army.

Despite her subordinates being convinced of their demise, Mereoleona assured them that it was of no consequence. Even in death, they were bound to her will and had no choice but to continue following her. The spirits of the Crimson Lions eagerly heeded her call and charged towards Moris’ army.

Despite believing that he was chosen by God and deserving of Mereoleona’s ability, Moris was unable to keep up with her relentless attacks and was left in a state of utter disbelief. However, Mereoleona was not concerned with God or Moris’ beliefs. She saw his death as an opportunity for human evolution and ultimately defeated him, leaving him to burn away.

Despite Mereoleona Vermillion’s transcendent victory over Moris Libardirt in Black Clover chapter 371, it is important to note that she had already lost one of her arms before gaining her new ability. As such, it is uncertain what her condition will be when she returns to her normal state. This leaves a slight chance that the upcoming chapter of the manga may bring some unfortunate news for fans.
