After successfully defeating Lingxuzi, the giant wolf from Chapter 1, make your way to the Bamboo Grove Snake Trail Shrine.
There will be a set of stairs directly ahead that, if followed, will take you to a wise master standing to the right. Engage with this master and they will upgrade your gourd to The Blessed Gourd, granting you the ability to absorb the Wills of Spirits.
At the beginning of the game, Spirits have the ability to unlock unique skills known as Spirit Skills, which provide significant bonuses that are especially helpful.
Only one Spirit Skill can be equipped by players at a time, with each one offering two distinct benefits.
