Some players of Black Myth: Wukong have confessed to utilizing the infinite mana glitch in order to defeat both the final boss and secret final boss.
Game Science’s Black Myth: Wukong offers various challenges for players who dare to embark on the Destined One’s journey. Among these challenges, boss battles are particularly daunting, with formidable foes like The Scorpionlord and their relentless attack combinations.
However, even those who manage to overcome these challenges are often left struggling against the ultimate boss and the hidden boss that follows.
According to Reddit user FrozGate, they were pushed to their breaking point during the final boss battle against The Great Sage Broken Shell.
“Despite knowing that he was the final boss, I found that he truly tested my patience. In order to overcome this challenge, I searched for advice on how to defeat him, and came across a mention of a mana glitch. Utilizing this strategy was ultimately how I was able to emerge victorious,”the player admitted.
The mentioned cheat involves exploiting an infinite mana glitch that involves repeatedly casting specific spells in certain situations. This has been observed to lead to comical boss battles and has proven to be highly effective for some players, based on reports in the Black Myth: Wukong subreddit.
More people chimed in, admitting that they also cheated. “I did the same, man! You’re not the only one. I play games for the purpose of relaxation, escapism, and a compelling narrative. I don’t want to be overwhelmed with stress or frustration.”
A different participant in the discussion also confessed to utilizing the glitch in order to defeat the secret final boss, Erlang Shen, in Black Myth: Wukong.
Despite putting in the effort to play the game through without any cheats, one individual discovered the glitch through a short YouTube video and stuck with it. They later admitted, “I completed the entire game without any glitches, except for the final boss and Erlang Shen.”
It is uncertain whether or not developer Game Science is aware of the glitch and is actively working on a solution. However, the studio is still in the process of resolving issues, as evidenced by the August 29 patch which addressed multiple known bugs.
