Black Ops 6 Community Requests Removal of Frustrating Feature

Players of Black Ops 6 are increasingly expressing their discontent regarding a persistent feature in the multiplayer mode, which has been present since the game’s launch. Many are now calling for its removal or modification due to ongoing frustrations.

The multiplayer experience of Black Ops 6 encompasses eight fundamental game modes, including beloved classics like Domination and Free-For-All. Gamers have the flexibility to choose from a variety of these modes when searching for matches.

In addition to these core modes, the game introduces limited-time formats that refresh with each new season, as well as mid-season updates. A notable example is the recent Squid Game crossover event that debuted in January. However, the addition of these temporary modes, such as Stakeout 24/7 and 10v10 Moshpit, has become a source of annoyance for some players who find these options are automatically included in their Quick Play selections.

The ability to filter multiplayer playlists was first introduced in Modern Warfare 2019, allowing players to choose specific game modes or customize their selections according to their preferences. This feature remembers player choices, simplifying future matches to avoid unwanted experiences.

However, Black Ops 6’s automatic selection of new modes has led to widespread dissatisfaction. Gamers are urging developers to address this issue to prevent them from inadvertently joining modes they have no interest in.

As one frustrated player articulated on Reddit, “Seriously, I don’t want to play Nuketown anymore and I definitely don’t want to play Stakeout. Just brain rot modes.” This sentiment resonates with many, with another player exclaiming, “My friends keep telling me I’m imagining it, but no, it’s a thing, and it’s driving me nuts!”

The frustration is not isolated, as some players have noted persistent problems every time they launch the game. One player mentioned, “It’s not just when they add new ones; literally every time I relaunch the game, Stakeout 24/7 is selected when I only play TDM.” Hardcore mode players have also voiced their challenges, with one stating: “Don’t even complain; you should see what hardcore players go through having to reselect our game mode EVERY F**KING TIME.”

This discontent isn’t limited to multiplayer enthusiasts. The broader community has also reacted to various changes within the game. For example, Treyarch had to reverse a change to the Directed Mode in Zombies following significant backlash.

Clearly, addressing player concerns regarding game mode selection is a pressing issue, and the community continues to hope for improvements that enhance their gaming experience.
