In a recent discussion with Leslie, the Associate Creative Director at Treyarch, we inquired about the future of omnimovement in upcoming Call of Duty installments. While he refrained from giving a definitive answer, his enthusiasm for the feature was evident.

“Only speaking for Treyarch and Black Ops here, we’re obviously big fans of Omnimovement and truly believed in its potential since we first started the concepting phase,” he explained. “It’s been inspiring to see players pulling off so many incredible plays with Omnimovement every day, and we’re sure we haven’t seen the limits of its potential yet.”

This optimistic perspective indicates that Treyarch is likely to continue exploring the capabilities of omnimovement in future games. Since our conversation, rumors have surfaced suggesting that the 2026 installment of Call of Duty—rumored to be developed by Infinity Ward—will incorporate omnimovement, potentially expanding its use within the Modern Warfare series.

In the same discussion, Leslie also shared insights into Treyarch’s approach to balancing realism with enjoyment. He hinted at the possibility of revamping classic maps, drawing from the franchise’s rich history to enhance the BO6 experience for players.

Moreover, preliminary leaks suggest that Call of Duty 2025 might be a sequel to Black Ops 2, with Sledgehammer Games at the helm. Should omnimovement find its way into that title, it would indeed be a positive sign for the future of the franchise.

With this ongoing evolution of gameplay mechanics, fans of Call of Duty can look forward to exciting developments that prioritize both engaging gameplay and community feedback.
