In the multiplayer modes of Black Ops 6, including Zombies and Warzone, players have faced challenges in keeping track of their mastery camo progress due to a lack of in-game indicators. However, this is about to change significantly.
Following more than three months since the launch of Black Ops 6, many dedicated players may have made considerable strides towards unlocking all mastery camos, while others still have a long journey ahead. With more than 40 weapons available and various tasks associated with each game mode, it can be quite easy for players to lose track of their objectives and eliminations needed to complete these challenges.
Revival of Tracking Challenges in Upcoming Update
Recent reports from CharlieIntel reveal that Treyarch is addressing this issue by reintroducing a feature that players have been asking for. They confirmed their plans to incorporate a tracking capability for challenges in the game’s user interface—much like the system used in Modern Warfare III.

This enhancement means that players can easily monitor their progress towards specific objectives— such as achieving 100 headshot kills with the AMES 85—through a dedicated tab during gameplay.
CoD content creator HunterTV questioned the absence of this feature at launch, noting that both BO6 and MW3 share the same engine and application. In response, CharlieIntel provided some clarity, suggesting that the multiplayer UI had undergone significant alterations, which may have hindered a complete transfer of functionalities from MW3.
Despite these clarifications, frustrations from players remain apparent. One user expressed concern, stating, “By the time BO6 gets all the needed features and fixes, it will be time for the next CoD.” Another added, “This is great news, but I’ll probably be done with Nebula by the time it’s in the game.”
Presently, Treyarch has not specified a timeline for when these changes will be implemented. However, players can anticipate numerous updates coinciding with the start of Season 2 on January 28, which may bring several other enhancements to the game.
