Black Ops 6 Developers Announce Weapon Balancing and Spawn Tuning for Second Beta

Treyarch intends to make balancing and audio adjustments during the break between the first and second Black Ops 6 beta weekends.

The initial Black Ops 6 beta weekend, intended for pre-ordering players, has ended. The following beta phase will be available to all from September 6 through 9. Along with the increase of the level cap from 20 to 30, two additional maps will be included, as well as the addition of Gunfight and Face Off Kill Order modes.

With an additional 10 levels to advance through, gamers have the opportunity to unlock various new features such as the DM-10 semi-auto DMR, Ninja Perk, Tanto. 22 SMG, and other exciting items.

Following just one weekend of gameplay, it became evident that the Jackal PDW was the top contender for best weapon in the game title. Despite Treyarch remaining tight-lipped about any potential balancing adjustments, it is certain that the meta will undergo a shift.

According to the feedback from the community, there will be a change coming soon.

  • Level cap raised to 30
  • Weapon balancing
  • Spawn tuning
  • Increased Weapon XP earn rate
  • Audio improvements
  • Bug fixes and more

Treyarch has responded to player complaints by making several audio adjustments. In the September 3 update, they prioritized footstep and enemy sliding audio to help players more accurately determine the source of enemy movements.

Despite concerns about the length of time it took to level up weapons and unlock attachments, the development team responded promptly and effectively to the criticism they received.

According to past experience, it is possible that the Jackal PDW will be nerfed. This is due to its performance in comparison to ARs at long distances, similar to how the Striker exceeded expectations during the initial beta weekend of Modern Warfare 3.

In response, Sledgehammer Games reduced the Striker’s range. We will give an update once the official patch notes are released.
