Activision has taken the community’s input into account regarding the complex navigation of Call of Duty menus and has made significant changes for Black Ops 6.
The design of the user interface has long been a debated issue among CoD players. Originally, gamers utilized a single launcher menu to access multiplayer, Warzone, and various other Call of Duty games.
While this feature aimed to enhance the navigation experience, many players found it to be more perplexing than before. Concerns heightened further when players discovered that the expanding game file sizes were partly due to the launcher consuming additional storage.
In light of this feedback, Call of Duty has introduced a roadmap intended to minimize download sizes and create a more streamlined menu system. The highlight of these changes is a completely redesigned user interface.
Overview of the New Black Ops 6 UI
Beginning October 21, 2024, players will have access to the updated Call of Duty user interface following the pre-launch update. The reorganized menu is divided into three primary sections: Home, All Games, and Store.
Home
The Home section provides immediate access to both Black Ops 6 and Warzone. Upon selecting a game, the Featured Tile prominently displays the most relevant maps and gameplay modes.
Additionally, the What’s Hot Row brings attention to new playlists, bundles, and other fresh content. The interface also includes the Last Played Tile for easy access to your recently played games.
All Games
The All Games section allows players to browse through all Call of Duty titles they own, starting from Modern Warfare (2019) onward. This feature enables users to launch individual titles directly and manage their installations efficiently.
Store
The Store tab, as expected, gives users easy access to the in-game shop for Call of Duty, where they can purchase cosmetic items. It’s important to note that any items bought from MW2 and MW3 will not be carried over to the Black Ops 6 multiplayer experience.
However, players can still utilize these items in Warzone.
That concludes our summary of the new user interface.
