Black Ops 6 Enthusiasts Excited About the “Ultimate” Camo System

Fans of Black Ops 6 are buzzing about the newly implemented camouflage progression system in multiplayer mode, with many claiming it to be the “best” they’ve experienced so far.

Over the years, the Call of Duty franchise has made several attempts to innovate core multiplayer features. The Create-A-Class system has seen multiple variations—though the beloved Pick 10 setup is notably absent—and changes have also occurred with Field Upgrades and Perks.

The process of unlocking weapon camouflage has transformed significantly over time. Initially focused on headshots, the method evolved to include a mix of different weapon types and specific challenges.

With Black Ops 6 harkening back to the classic Call of Duty feel, the traditional approach to unlocking skins—primarily through achieving headshots—has returned as the centerpiece, and players are expressing their approval.

“Black Ops 6 features the most impressive camo progression I’ve ever encountered,” Reddit user ObligatoryNameee remarked. “The gameplay is phenomenal, achieving 100 headshots is manageable in addition to some unique challenges. It flows smoothly, allowing me to experiment with different weapons while having fun,” the user commented, indicating that previous iterations felt like “torture.”

“Returning to what originally made COD enjoyable seems like a brilliant strategy. It’s hard to believe it took them so long to come to this realization,” another player concurred. “After grinding for Damascus, this feels like a breeze—definitely a breath of fresh air, lol,” added another gaming enthusiast.

Community member JazzlikeJackfruit372 pointed out that the updated system is significantly “easier,” especially when compared to Cold War.

However, not every fan is completely satisfied. Some critics have suggested improvements, particularly regarding melee weapons.

“I think changes are needed. There’s no justification for requiring 100 headshots with pistols. Additionally, achieving triple kills and bloodthirsties with the knife and bat is pure agony, especially considering that the bat requires two strikes to secure a kill,” one user cautioned.

If you’ve noticed players flaunting the gold XM4 and Jackal, it’s because these are currently the preferred weapons in the game. So, be sure to align your strategies accordingly.
