Black Ops 6 Leaks: Two Fan-Favorite Modes Returning After Years

The recent emergence of several Black Ops 6 leaks suggests that two beloved multiplayer modes from previous Call of Duty titles may be making a comeback in the upcoming game, after being absent for several years in the franchise.

Black Ops 6 is set to release on October 25, 2024, marking the first time in COD history that a game has had a four-year development cycle. As a result, players are eagerly anticipating the level of polish that the game could potentially have.

Additionally, there is even more reason to be thrilled, as leaked information suggests that two game modes from previous installments, which had been overlooked in recent releases, may be making a comeback.

One of the games included is Prop Hunt, in which players transform into various objects on the map and must evade their opponents. It is a basic game of hide-and-seek, but it can be incredibly entertaining.

Prop Hunt was introduced in Season 1 of Black Ops Cold War and has not appeared in any subsequent Call of Duty games.

On August 6, ForwardLeaks officially confirmed this mode on their website at https://x.com/ForwardLeaks.

Despite this, the next item has been absent from the game for an even longer period of time, harkening back to the days of the jetpack era in Call of Duty.

It is rumored that Uplink, which was briefly rebranded as Gridiron during World War II but without success, will be returning to Call of Duty in BO6.

The main objective involved taking possession of an uplink drone, commonly referred to as ‘the ball’, and either throwing or running it into the opposing team’s spawn area.

The game was extremely popular, especially among competitive COD enthusiasts, featuring as one of the esports modes in Advanced Warfare, Black Ops 3, and Infinite Warfare.

Despite being tested among professionals during World War II, this mode never gained popularity in actual professional play. Instead, Capture the Flag was the preferred mode, causing this one to fade into obscurity.

Naturally, this information has not yet been officially verified. However, players may gain further insight once the Black Ops 6 beta commences on August 30.
