Despite this dominance, the developers chose not to nerf the Jackal PDW in Season 2, leaving the game’s meta unchanged. This has resulted in the weapon being the preferred choice among professional players, while casual lobbies are frequently populated with users wielding the Jackal PDW.

In the Ranked Play format, Treyarch has streamlined the competition by banning other SMGs like the KSV and PPsh-41, creating an optimal environment for the Jackal PDW to continue its reign.
